It was great to have my strategy in place with you which meant I didn’t have to waste any precious time on last minute shopping trips to come away with make-do things.

And it is wonderful to be able to get dressed in pieces I love and peel away that layer of anxiety in the morning.

I was wary of the internet because I love fabrics and feel the need to touch them. But since doing Susan's workshop I've been able to use the internet properly to expand my horizons and get the quality I want and be okay with sending it back if it's doesn't meet my expectations because I'm not guessing anymore. I'm using the skills I learnt to navigate and assess before before I invest so I'm not stuck in the same place and never with something I don't want. It's good to make peace and progress and harness the power of the internet to get what I really want.

Since doing Susan's 3hr Workshop I've been able to pick things that I didn't think were me and know how to make them suit me. A big part of that was understanding the embedded historical and psychological associations we have around dress. I didn't realise how my own internalised beliefs around the politics of dress were holding me back from being able to mix and match things, like a Barbie pinks satin pants suit with different tops and shoes to give it a very different vibe - my vibe. And have fun doing it. When I did the workshop I was in a place where my career was fragmented and now I am being mentored into an awesome position. It was good to be reminded of the power of dress.

Instead of falling in a heap when the position I was aiming for didn't materialise I jumped on the ethical jobs website and found more exciting options that felt like a better fit for me!

Then doing exactly what you teach in your workshop to really build style, I didn't just stop at clicking on a website, I got on the phone (just like you did with me) and started building a relationship where I was seen, heard and respected. Before I knew it I was being pushed forward for jobs that I wouldn't have considered myself qualified enough for!

So I feel like I've been on a quite a journey that started with working on my style because you taught me how to do this from a be very important internal place and the flow on effects are already transforming my life.
